Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test

Eligibility

Before taking the TNTET exam, candidates should make sure they meet the eligibility requirements. TNTET Paper-I and Paper-II eligibility criteria have been established by the Teachers Recruitment Board. If a candidate does not meet all of the qualifications for age, nationality, and education, they will be rejected by the TRB.
Nationality: To be eligible for the TNTET 2021 exam, a candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Age Restriction: Applicants should be minimum 18 years old and under the age of 40. Age relaxation will be available to those in the reserved and special categories.
Educational Criteria:

Paper-1
 10+2 or similar with at least 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 10+2 or similar with at least 45% marks and passed/pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 10+2 or similar with at least 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of B.El.Ed. (4 years) (Graduation in Elementary Education), OR
 Graduation and passed/ Pursuing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years), OR
 Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
Paper-2
 Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
 Applicants pursuing any teacher education courses acknowledged by the NCTE or the RCI.
 Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
 Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and passed/ Pursuing final year of B.Ed. (Special Education)
 10+2 with 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of B.El.Ed. (4 years) (Graduation in Elementary Education) 
 10+2 with 50% marks and passed/pursuing final year of BA/B.Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed.
